Dennis, EB is actually indexed by all search engines for many years. However, since parts of the site is only available to subscribers, one may not be able to get to everything. Also, EB articles don't always rank as high as Wikipedia, but an individual can solve that by subscribing to Google's Subscribed Link program (http://www.google.com/coop/subscribedlinks/dire...).
