AccMan TalkBack: Limping back onto the grid

    Welcome back. Great looking site.

Like you, I have been having PC problems over last few weeks, hence lack of postings. Nobody to blame. Therefore, must be my fault!

I like it. I miss your postings!! Glad to hear things are moving forward. I have also been trying with different formats - need to time to make my mind up

    Regards, Manoj

    Hi Dennis,
Having lived with your new theme for a while, here's my thoughts. I like the clean style and subtle colour scheme - very web 2.0. However, I'm missing the extra things and widgets that you had in the three column previous version. Also, you've dropped your blogging 1o2 page (I would highlight that, wouldn't I!). In addition, when you arrive at the site to look at a specific article, through search or posting comments, you lose your right hand column completely - that means your missing out on tempting new arrivals with the other resources, comments, recent posts, etc. I would try to get a combination of this design style incorporating most of the ingredients of your 3 column theme. (I'm looking for a designer/developer who can do something similar for our new blog site too.)

    Hi Dennis,
Oops - in my previous comment, I got something wrong. Hadn't spotted that all the right column stuff appears underneath the article and the comments. Maybe this is the way it's designed, or an IE issue. If it's the design, then the same comment applies because many people would miss that info.

Can you be more specific David - I am trying to get away from the clutter that was a problem with Tiga theme. Also, there are limitations with using sidebar widgets but they can probably be overcome. What I don't want to do though is go back to hand coding for sidebars when widgets give me plug in and out.
