Dennis, you are very kind to suggest I am a star maker. I guess I've had my moments as a writer for this that and the other titles. But really, all I do there is report what I find interesting, in the hope that others find it interesting too.
So the people are stars anyway. All I do is nudge a little.
The other thing is that people come to me if they need help getting their story straight - for the press, the board, a v.c or whatever.
Again, they're the stars, all I do is give a little help.
Now if I were the boss of a media conglomerate or a hollywood studio, then I could be a real star maker.
So, if you don't mind. As honoured as I am to receive your accolade, I would like to reject it. Or at least reduce it to something like star-nudger.
